We process our users' personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website along with our content and services. Processing generally takes place only with the user's consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), such as ensuring the secure operation of the platform.

This website is operated with an external hosting provider (Vercel Inc.). This may involve processing personal data (e.g. IP address, access time) in order to technically provide and deliver the website. A data transfer to third countries (e.g. the USA) cannot be ruled out in this context; in such cases we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or comparable guarantees provided by the provider.

User accounts, company data and job listings are stored in a database (Supabase) whose servers are operated in the EU (Frankfurt am Main, Germany).

Companies can register on Apply & Stay Jobs to publish and manage job listings. In doing so, we collect the company name, email address and password (stored in encrypted form). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures).

To keep users logged in, we use technically necessary session cookies (see point 6).

Job listings published by companies are publicly visible. Applications are, depending on the application method chosen by the company, either forwarded directly to the company or routed to an external application page. We do not permanently store application data ourselves if the application is submitted via an external destination page.

We use only technically necessary cookies required to provide the website's core functionality (e.g. login sessions). These cookies are used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the error-free operation of the website). We currently do not use analytics, marketing or tracking cookies.

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

The right to access data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, an informal email to the address stated above is sufficient.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data – for example, with the authority responsible for your place of residence, habitual stay, your member state, or the place of the alleged infringement.

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it continues to comply with current legal requirements, or to reflect changes to our services. The updated privacy policy will apply on your next visit.
